The Digital SLR Boot Camp Workshop gives you a solid grasp on camera gear, field operations, processing, delivery, and strategy for the digital future. We’ve updated the course content for 2008 to consider the recent evolution of technology.

This course is being hosted at the Holiday Inn in Grand Island, New York. The conference center will allow everyone to be seated in a fully equipped comfortable classroom facility.

This is not just a Photoshop course! There is much more to contemplate when you attempt photography with a digital SLR camera. This workshop touches all the bases as an integrated whole. No one else is doing this. Includes:

• Friday evening, 6-9 pm, introduction & instruction
• Saturday morning, 7-9 am, outdoor field shoot
• Saturday during the day 10 am – 5 pm, instruction
• Sunday morning 9 am – 12 noon, instruction & conclusion

WORKSHOP FEE: Complete weekend is $180.00 per person. This includes Friday evening pizza, Saturday deli buffet lunch, and Sunday light continental breakfast.

This curriculum builds on the successful inaugural 2007 DSLR Boot Camp. We’ve updated the course content for 2008 to consider the recent evolution of technology.

This course is being hosted at the majestic Butler Institute of American Art adjacent to Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. We will be using the spacious board room which allows everyone to be seated in a fully equipped comfortable classroom facility.

To reinforce the classroom concept, we will venture out into the field for some shooting on Sunday mornings before we convene the workshop. Mill Creek Park is likely due to its proximity and bountiful scenery.

This is not just a Photoshop course! While we use Photoshop CS3 to illustrate a manageable approach to workflow, you should be aware that there is much more to contemplate when you attempt photography with a digital SLR camera. This workshop touches all the bases as an integrated whole. No one else is doing this.

WORKSHOP FEE: Includes four afternoon sessions and the two morning field shoots. Fee is $180.
