Field Clinics are more about classical photographic practices than digital production technique. These sessions will instruct you how to achieve specific pictorial results to match what you envision creatively. There are two points to consider...
-
These are instructional sessions — not field shoots. You will receive a solid three hours of information and demonstration in suitable venues to support the material being taught. Class size is very limited.

Do we need to constantly produce a record of reality in our pictures? Only if you want to live in a constrained world where photography struggles to be a creative medium. Yes, documentary photography can be very beautiful, but so can abstracts. Abstracts free the soul and bring about a playful, fun spirit in those that indulge. This session will acquaint you with ways to use your natural surroundings to construct abstractions. As a bonus, you will be introduced to Warden's Ledges, a hidden gem of a landscape wonderland.

Fine Art Photo Greeting Card Production
Session #1: October 21, 2008 — 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Session #2: October 29, 2008 — 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Some people call them note cards; some call them greeting cards. There is a growing popularity in the creation of personalized cards by serious photographers. This is for personal or commercial reasons. Maybe it is just for fun! Once you decide to go beyond the drugstore prints and the drop‐in folders, there is a certain craft to producing hand printed, fine art miniature renditions of your precious photos. Producing really professional‐looking greeting cards (AKA note cards) is an acquired skill that can benefit from some insider knowledge. There are techniques and resources that can significantly reduce the trial and error.
This all comes together on your choice of one of two different evenings, October 21 or October 29 at 7:00 pm. The clinics are in the Autumn; just in time for you to get going on your holiday card plans. They will be held in Brunswick, Ohio at the home of Bob Kulon to take advantage of suitable facilities. Each class is limited to eight participants — first come first served. Response has already been encouraging, so don’t hesitate and be closed out.
